An outfit I wore recently and loved: champagne brocade minidress from New Year’s Eve 2006 with a wool riding jacket. No jewelry, this sandal. Perfect balance of the preppy and the party.

Oh my god, this is gorgeous. This is mixing texture, giving something pretty an edge, this is so my style. I would have definitely had some delicate gold necklaces and then pretty heavy arm hardware though. Also way too cold for a sandal, riding boots or maybe even combat boots.
