Post-Grad

  • Me: Leaving now. Bringing wii remotes.
  • Rishi: Agreeable decision.
  • It's like we never stopped being ten year olds when we're around each other. Went over to Andover on Tuesday to play wii, take naps, and sneak froyo into the 5pm 3D showing of The Avengers. Worth it.

Harney & Sons Tea

Harney & Sons tea is one of my winter pleasures since I don’t drink coffee. I enjoyed this particular cup at the Cornell Club in NYC. -F.E. Castleberry

Harney & Sons Tea was one of the better parts of my barista experience, although I am an avid espresso drinker mostly. I love the pyramid shaped smoothly synthetic tea bags and the lush bitterness of their Early Grey. It is a nice treat for when you are a little lazy but a little rich.
Perhaps not to be enjoyed ever at the Cornell Club though.
Come on, Castleberry.

Permalink Dear Avacados,
It’s time. I need to spell it out. I do not get you. I think you are bland, too creamy and rich and weirdly textured. Just thinking about consuming you makes me feel like throwing up. Maybe one day I will understand what is so great about you, but I doubt it. Maybe the truth is, you’re all hype. Have you ever thought of that?

The Solar System is like a box of chocolates — at least it is at Japan’s Rihga Royal Hotels, where they offer these beauties by chocolatier L’éclat. Gimme.

I guess it’s official Pluto, you are not a planet anymore. It’s been real. Thanks for being there for me throughout my childhood.
These delicious and beautiful chocolates will be a thoughtful parting gift and yours would have been flavored nostalgia (white chocolate) and remorse (raspberry).
Permalink I would be all the hell over that.
Estelle gave me these sweet lavender cookies with creme in the middle that her mother received from a Japanese friend of hers.
They were the most delicious morsels of food in the world to have existed ever, and I hate sweets. I am now a firm believer in lavender but don’t even make me tell you about the lavender and honey ice cream David and I once had for dessert.

lavender hot chocolate

wish we had found this cup during our cocoa crawl.
Permalink Limited-edition my butt. Literally, my butt was created by the white chocolate covered oreos. I remember eating entire packages of these. Just the thought of them makes me gag now. Puberty was not good to me.

I have to confess, I don’t care for bubble tea.

Anybody who doesn’t care for bubbletea doesn’t care for food club.
