A much safer way to celebrate, by far!

if you are a lover of pain and humiliation, might i suggest going back en pointe at age 30? i will leave you with my favorite quote from my teacher this week. “the barre is your partner. you want to dance with him, not crush him…. i said NOT crush him joelle.”

Yo I got mad respect for you chickadee.

This is kind of a dream of mine, and I probably won’t even think about achieving it until before I am 30, so definitely PROPZ.

Permalink I love Oglaf! I also love the way I found out about it which is that Eric sent me a very innocuous one about a Labyrinth that was cute and funny. Then I hit the next button and found out that it was a very racy comic indeed! Fantastically funny still though.

Permalink Peeps!
I was just watching an episode of Malcolm in the Middle where Francis has to eat one hundred “Quacks” (Peeps for all intents and purposes) to win a bet. I would take that bet. I love Peeps!
My mom was watching with me and she loves getting me things I love. She also loves celebrating things no matter what. That’s a fantastic quality I got from her. So I don’t really know what Easter is about and I don’t go to Church but I do wear pastels and eat Peeps.
Close enough?

Permalink Wait! That’s really cute, except you need a question mark. It’s not a demand after all.

except, not, no marriage, please.
Permalink Estelle and I found this really rad bug dead next to my chair in the library today and we should have taken pictures like this. We’re planning on creating things like this made of jewels to wear as hair clips, so nobody steal this idea okay?

Eleanor Callahan, Harry’s Muse

One of the greatest muses in photo history, Eleanor Callahan, died this week, at the age of ninety-five. Harry Callahan photographed her for more than fifty of the sixty-three years of their marriage. From intimate nudes to double exposures of her ghostly silhouette projected onto the woods, her image acted as an anchor in Callahan’s often abstracted vision. From the beginning, Harry spoke of his work as an extension of his life; in a grant proposal he wrote that he would use the money “to photograph as I felt and desired; to regulate a pleasant form of living; to get up in the morning—free, to feel the trees, the grass, the water, sky or buildings, people—everything that affects us; and to photograph that which I saw and have always felt.” We don’t know if he got the grant, but his innumerable photos of Eleanor are a testament to his success.

It’s like where does one apply to be a muse? I think I have some of the necessary qualifications, like the ability to stand still for long periods of time.

Never forget that time I thought it was a good idea to fill my water cooler with red wine.

i think this will be the ideal way to hide wine in our carrels.

Orrr, we can just straight up put wine in our carrels, because let’s be real, nobody ever goes to the fifth floor including us.

Cartoon of the day. Don’t forget to enter this week’s caption contest: http://nyr.kr/r46had

And don’t forget to read Emily Flake’s Cartoonist’s Diary which ran all this week at The Comics Journal.

My worst nightmare! That’s why I don’t have any charity apps.
