Last night, I was introduced to an awesome game called “Gloom” and I want to play it all the time:

The world of Gloom is a sad and benighted place. The sky is gray, the tea is cold, and a new tragedy lies around every corner. Debt, disease, heartache, and packs of rabid flesh-eating mice — just when it seems like things can’t get any worse, they do. But some say that one’s reward in the afterlife is based on the misery endured in life. If so, there may yet be hope — if not in this world, then in the peace that lies beyond. In the Gloom card game, you assume control of the fate of an eccentric family of misfits and misanthropes. The goal of the game is sad, but simple: you want your characters to suffer the greatest tragedies possible before passing on to the well-deserved respite of death. You’ll play horrible mishaps like Pursued by Poodles or Mocked by Midgets on your own characters to lower their Self-Worth scores, while trying to cheer your opponents’ characters with marriages and other happy occasions that pile on positive points. The player with the lowest total Family Value wins.

Oh my god, this sounds amazing! Can we add this to our weekly tea-party/game night?

If your man is anything like mine, he likes his collars just so — and he loses collar stays constantly.
Customized collar stays will make a great gift.

I’ve also had this bookmarked for a while but I have yet to meet a man or woman who likes his or her collar “just so”. Maybe in ten years.
Permalink Taking a break from writing about heroin to update the Wish List. I kind of want to start doing this year round because I’m thinking about making shopping my career.
This initialed brass bangle from Jessica Barensfeld will be recognizable to readers of Garance Dore’s blog where I found it as well.
Reading about her, Jessica Barensfeld seems really adorable. She has a certain aesthetic that one look at her website or pictures can tell you about. Everything is a little over-saturated, a little magical and a little endearing.
I especially love this initialed bracelet because for starters, I am really into bracelets. I only own like five and inspired by Leandra Medine I have been wearing all five everyday. I would like to add this to my arm party for sure. What I also love about the initialed bracelet is that it’s such a sweet present. Put your initials on it because you know I’m already thinking of you always.
She has a lot of other pretty bracelets though and some necklaces and much more reasonably priced than I expected. Get yourself one with your crush’s, grandmother’s or dog’s initials. Hell, get your own initials for self-identification purposes! It’s too cute to resist. Click the picture to shop.
Permalink So I got on tumblr to start my Christmas Wish List in honor of Cyber Monday. Obviously the first item on the list is going to be from ban.do. I’m obsessed with my hair and so is ban.do which is the best part.
I go on their website and lo and behold! Cybering! On Mondays! Just ordered myself the red mini heart and Eric was so sweet to get on the 20% off bandwagon and get me the hot pink one. Thanks Anna who got me the gold one for my birthday. I now have a complete set! I’m going to wear all three of them at the same time! You still have time to get yourself a set, sale ends at midnight tonight.
That doesn’t mean I’m satisfied though. My hunger for hair accessories knows no bounds. I’m going to move up in the ranks and ask Santa to pretty please place in my stocking a pom pom flower in mist.
While the sequin mini hearts have become famous, I still think a pom pom is a ban.do staple and I’m sad that I don’t own one yet. I think this one is so sweet, not overwhelming, good in your hair or as a little pizzaz for a boring outfit, and that blue is heavenly.
Best part is that it’s on sale for $10 right now! Grab yourself one in the process, just click the picture to shop.
